Onboarding – what happens next

Onboarding creates a new user account and sets them up with the tools they need to start work on time. Please complete the details below so we can prepare everything before the Start Date.

Account & email setup: We create the user account and email address (as provided) and apply standard security settings.
Access & permissions: We grant access based on what you list in the form, including:
- Shared mailboxes (if required)
- SharePoint folders/sites
- Printers (by location)
Computer setup: We prepare the requested computer (or configure an existing one) with standard apps and any additional applications you list.
Phone system (optional): We may manage the phone system for your organisation. If so please select yes and we can configure a phone extension, handset and other details
Validation & contact: If anything is missing or unclear, we’ll contact you using your best phone number so we can keep things moving.

Confirmation: Once complete, we’ll confirm what’s been set up and note any items pending approval or still in progress.

Offboarding – What Happens Next

Once you submit this request, The Beach Geek will take care of securely removing the staff member’s access based on your instructions.

Account access: The staff member will no longer be able to sign in or access company systems
Systems & apps: Access to company tools and services will be removed
Email: The email account will be handled according to your selection (archived, shared mailbox, forwarded)
Timing:
- Urgent requests are actioned as soon as possible
- Standard requests are completed on the staff member’s last working day
Devices: Digital access to company systems is removed. Physical device collection is managed by your organisation

Confirmation: You’ll be notified once the offboarding process is complete or if we need more information

If the device is being retired from your fleet, we strongly recommend having it securely wiped as well as factory reset. This will prevent any data being accessible. Data Secure Wipe and Decommission is a billable service, as it requires specialised tool. The cost is $119 incl. GST per device. Would you like The Beach Geek Team to arrange this for you?*
